Delegate Sean Hornbuckle will be a “server for an hour” at Giovanni’s Pizza in Huntington to draw attention to the struggles of restaurant employees earning the subminimum wage for tipped workers and being forced to tolerate inappropriate behavior from consumers, managers and co-workers in order to feed their families in tips. Climate March Beats the Heat
The last Saturday in April was a scorcher with temperatures in the 90’s, as we gathered in Charleston for a ‘sister’ march to the People’s Climate March. Despite the heat, we nearly 400 folks from around the state assembled and marched to a rally at the state Capitol in solidarity with the national march in DC. More
