WV Rivers: Legislative Update and Advocacy That Works

Advocacy can be difficult and frustrating, but WV Rivers, in partnership with the WV Environmental Council and others, made significant progress on many of our legislative priorities this year.

From passage of PFAS Protection Act, to additional funding for state oil and gas inspectors, and a ban on any further expansion of motorized off-road trails in state parks and forests – WV Rivers, with your active involvement, has proven that advocacy works.

Advocacy is essential to clean water for all, and it’s fun! If this seems like something that is up your alley, please join us to discuss strategies that build relationships with legislators.

Join us on Zoom on Wednesday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. to learn about how we do advocacy – and how you can become more involved with our efforts.
