Groups Demand Support for Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention and Intervention in Next Federal COVID Package

Citizen Action and other local, state, and national organizations joined with the National Child Abuse Coalition to urge Congress to act swiftly to direct funding for the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse and neglect. It is critical that Congress provide appropriate targeted supports to children and families facing the stress and disruptions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, by equipping the child abuse prevention and child welfare systems with the tools it needs to handle the crisis.
