Thousands of WV Medicaid members get $1,000 in Dental Coverage Jan. 1st
Thousands of West Virginia Medicaid members, ages 21 and older, received a letter this week announcing that on January 1st, 2021, they will be able to get up to $1,000 in preventative dental care. WV Citizen Action was part of the Health Care for All WV coalition team that lobbied for this breakthrough. CARES Act letter to Governor Justice
On March 27, the CARES Act was signed into law as part of Congress’ federal COVID response. The legislation contained Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) awarded to state and local governments. West Virginia received $1.25 billion. As of October 6, just under $1 billion of the state’s CRF still remains per the West Virginia Auditor’s Office. More
